Taking a few moments to look away from the computer screen every minute or two while working and focusing on a different object for just a few seconds can enable you to reduce the eye strain from occurring, as well as reducing headaches. This is simple while typing and can be an effective way to stop eye strain before it starts.

Aside from taking a break, you should take time to focus, really focus on objects in the room if you feel the eyes are becoming strained while working. Getting up from the work station or whatever you are doing and moving around the room while focusing on the same object in the room can be an effective way to deal with eye strain and reduce the pain that is associated with eye strain.
